With the financial support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth, 19 state and private higher educational institutions of Georgia participated in the annual international exhibition in the United States of America, which was organized by the International Education Association (NAFSA) in New Orleans.
Within the framework of the exhibition, representatives of higher educational institutions of Georgia, together with employees of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth, held meetings with representatives of various foreign universities, where they discussed the issues of deepening cooperation, developing joint programs and promoting the mobility of students, academic and administrative staff. Along with other universities, the Rector of the New Higher Education Institute-NEWUNI, prof. Tamar Gardapkhadze and the professor of NEWUNI, Sofio Moralishvili participated in this forum.
NAFSA is one of the largest and most prestigious international exhibitions in the field of higher education, in which more than 100 countries and about 200 organizations participate.
It should be noted that the internationalization of higher education is one of the main priorities of the Georgian government. Within the framework of the internationalization policy, the state implements a number of important projects that support universities in the direction of implementing joint educational programs and obtaining international accreditation.
